Flea treatment
Professional flea treatment for homes, landlords and businesses, with clear advice and a quotation before any work starts.
Fleas usually arrive on cats and dogs, but they can also be left behind by previous occupants or wildlife. Most of the flea population lives in carpets, bedding and furniture as eggs, larvae and pupae, not on the pet.
Our treatment targets the whole life cycle in the home so the infestation is broken rather than just reduced.
Signs to look out for
- Itchy bites, often around ankles and lower legs
- Pets scratching more than usual
- Small dark specks in pet bedding
- Fleas jumping from carpets or furniture
How we deal with it
Preparation
We send you a checklist: vacuum thoroughly, clear floors and treat pets with a vet-recommended product before our visit.
Treatment
We apply a professional residual insecticide to carpets, floors and soft furnishings in affected areas.
Aftercare
Keep vacuuming daily after treatment. This encourages remaining pupae to hatch and contact the treated surfaces.
Pets must be treated by you or your vet at the same time. Fish tanks need to be covered and pumps switched off during treatment. We will explain re-entry times before we start.
Questions about flea treatment
Why am I still seeing fleas after treatment?
Pupae are protected inside cocoons and can hatch for up to two weeks or more. Keep vacuuming. If activity continues, contact us.
