Cancellation policy

This policy explains how to cancel or rearrange a booking with Proofwell Pest Control Ltd. It forms part of our terms and conditions.

Your 14-day right to cancel (consumers)

If you are a consumer and booked with us by phone, online, by message or at your home, you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of the day it was made, without giving a reason.

To cancel, tell us clearly by phone on 07777 225050, by email to info@proofwellpest.co.uk or by WhatsApp. You can use the model cancellation wording below, but you do not have to.

"I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: [service], ordered on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date]."

Refunds when you cancel within 14 days

If you cancel before any work has started, we will refund all payments within 14 days of you telling us, using the same payment method.

If you asked us to start work during the cancellation period, we will deduct an amount in proportion to the service already provided up to the point you told us you were cancelling. If the service has been fully completed at your request within the 14 days, the right to cancel no longer applies.

Rearranging an appointment

We are happy to rearrange appointments. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice.

Late cancellation or no access

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice after the 14-day cancellation period has ended, or we cannot get access at the agreed time, we may charge a reasonable amount to cover costs we have incurred, such as travel and the time reserved for your appointment.

If we need to cancel

Occasionally we may need to rearrange because of illness, severe weather or an emergency. We will contact you as soon as possible to offer a new appointment. If you do not want to rearrange, we will refund any payment you have made in full.

Business customers

The 14-day right to cancel applies to consumers only. Cancellation terms for business contracts are set out in your quotation or contract.
